What is substance use disorder, and how is it treated?

Substance use disorder is a chronic condition that is characterized by an inability to control substance use, despite negative consequences for themselves or others. People with substance use disorder are often referred to as substance abusers.

Substance use disorder is treated at Vertical Treatment Centers through a combination of mental health counseling and, in some cases, medication assisted treatment.

Do you offer inpatient programs?

No, we do not offer inpatient services. We are not a detox center. We offer outpatient services geared specifically to people struggling with substance use disorders.

Do you accept insurance?

We don’t turn anyone away: we accept most commercial insurance plans, most Medicaid plans, and have a self pay option. We also offer alternative payment solutions for those who are uninsured.

How do you charge for substance abuse treatment?

In addition to accepting most insurances, including Medicaid, the clinic offers a single monthly fee for those who want to self pay. No hidden charges, no confusion. The clinic is committed to providing quality addiction treatment services regardless of an individual’s ability to pay.
